Volleyball Season Was A Blast!

Friday night February 24th concluded a seven week volleyball season for HBF's co-ed volleyball league. 2023 saw the addition of another team as the league grew from three teams to four. The average team size was 10 people so we were certainly at capacity and look forward to growing the league to six to eight teams in 2024.

The league started in January and ran through February with games each Friday night from 6:30pm-9:00PM culminating with a spirited double elimination tournament. The team captained by Luke Fleshman came away with the tournament win and bragging rights for 2023! After the tournament the Fleshman's team was presented with the tournament bracket and a volleyball signed by all the players in the league for 2023. 

The ministry was underwritten by several corporate sponsors that allowed HBF to cover the cost of building rental, team shirts and a nice dinner the evening of the tournament. All additional proceeds will be used to facilitiate the Athletic ministry of HBF. We are praying about adding a sand volleyball pit at HBF so we could have an outdoor sand league in the late summer or early fall.
