2025 Heart of Marriage Conference

It had been over a year in the making as Jeff & Erla Bartell descended from the skies and landed at MCI on Friday morning March 14th for the annual Marriage Conference. Pastor Brian initially invited Pastor Jeff Bartell as the main speaker of the 2025 Marriage Conference the fall of 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts while they were on a mission trip visiting Mike Reneau and Living Faith Boston. Pastor Jeff is the Associate Pastor and former Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of New Philadelphia, OH.

Pastort Bartell did a tremendous job of walking us through the scripture and encaouraging us in three major but profound and powerful points from God's word concering marriage. As we walked through the word of God we learned how to Learn, Lead and Love our spouses. After lunch we enjoyed a game of "Not So Newlywed Game".  Alex and Eric Sanders were the newlyweds yet they had an incredible connection and did a great job of answering one another's questions as though they had been married for years!

After some lunch and laughs from the not so newlywed game, we settled in for our last session where we broke out in groups of men and women and processed some of the principles we learned during the conference. We had a great time investing in our marriages and we even had a few singles who were gettting ahead of the game and learning principles for marriage so they can get off to a great start when God provides a help meet to accomplish God's will in their lives.

We had representation from several churches in Missouri and Kansas. Mason Wilson and Pastor Tony Godfrey of Harvest Baptist, Iola led the worship. We also had a large participation from Grace And Truth in Independence,  MO (Pastor Ray Stewart) and a few folks from Living Faith Fellowship, Lee's Summit MO (Pastor Dan Reneau). It was really a special time for all involved and we trust marriages and churhes will be strengthened by the application of the things taught in this conference.
