Genesis 2:21-25 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

In just two weeks we will be gathering at Hilton Garden Inn, in Independence, for our 2018 Faith to Faith Marriage Conference. God uses this meeting in my life and marriage every year and I know he will do the same for you. Marriage is such an important gift from God it is no wonder it has been under attack from Genesis 3 to today.

Genesis 2:21 reveals that marriage was God's idea. He gave marriage as provision for Adam, but he also used the union of Adam and Eve to achieve his purposes for his Kingdom. It is not until Ephesians 5 that we see that marriage is a powerful picture of Christ and the Church. Understanding the divine design God has for marriage helps us understand why Satan not only attacked Adam and Eve, but to this day disdains the picture of Christ and the church. The last thing Satan wants to see is the propagation of perfect unity! It doesn't matter if it's our fellowship with Christ, our spouse, children or church, to this day we face an adversary who will do anything in his power to disrupt perfect communion.

Even if your marriage is on the brink of destruction and disillusion, don't lose heart and hope. Marriage is a walk of faith. Trust the Lord to work through his word and his church to restore God's power to your marital picture by faith in God's word. Don't allow the problems of life outweigh God's will for your life. God is calling you fulfil his perfect will for your life and your marriage.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

May your marriage be a perpetual source of encouragement and refreshment to others and yourself. I pray you will come, be refreshed and leave this year's conference inspired and encouraged from God's word to walk by faith and fulfill God's plan for your life.
