We rejoice in the wonderful weather and people God provided for this year's fall Harvest Party. The past few years the weather has been cold, rainy and a bit unpleasant. This year God provided an Indian summer to finish the harvest season which provided for a great environment for the annual Harvest Party.
The church body did a tremendous job of supporting this event headed by Chris and Lauren Coen. One of the parents commented, "They really enjoyed the carnival like atmosphere!” Many look forward to the large inflatables that provide a great thrill each year. Even though it was too windy to erect the inflatable bounce houses and slides, the atmosphere was joyful and charged with an excited energy as children and adults looked forward to the prizes that were won throughout the day. Our sponsors provided hundreds of dollars of wonderful raffle prizes that were distributed throughout the day to the adults who brought their family and friends to the event.
There were a series of performances by our "Patch The Pirate Club" members. The brightest spot in the day, however, was the presentation of the gospel by Pastor Jason McGuire. He did a great job of preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to all who were gathered. Though we celebrate the harvest of food this time of year, the biggest harvest we pray to see is a harvest of souls that fill the Kingdom of God.
We want to thank all the many folks who were involved in our Harvest Party this year. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the harvest season!
