Answer The Call Vision Conference

Heartland Baptist Fellowship enjoyed a tremendous Vision Conference this year. The theme this year is "Answer the call" and the theme verse is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it." Each speaker had a special message on the topic of answering the call of God. We heard from missionaries and pastors serving in Ireland, Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America and countries that we cannot disclose because they are closed to the gospel.

In addition to the wonderful messages and updates from missionaries all over the world, we heard from Pastor Randy Foster on the topic of "owing the mission". He challenged us to consider our passion for owning the mission of God in a real and practial way in our day to day life. Pastor Jeremy Bonnesen challenged us from three New Testament passages to pray the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laboreres into his field and share the gospel as we ought. Pat Lee had an excellent presentation on the "IGO" ministry and encouraged us to be intentional in our gospel outreach.

To top the conference off, ordained Pastor Steve Fleshman and ended the conference with a wonderful reception in the foyer. Though the conference concluded on Wednesday, we will come togeher this Sunday April 10th to answer the call to own the mission as we go out as a church body to invite our friends and neighbors to join us for Easter. As we go, we will trust God to give us the doors of utterance and the words we need to speak to share the gospel to those waiting providentially to hear the good news of Jesus Christ's saving grace.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18 We are so thankful God has fulfilled the law through his Son, Jesus Christ and given us the certainty of his words in the scriptures so we can hear his call and fulfill his vision of sharing the gospel, making disciples and planting churches all over the world.
