As we reflect on the incredible success of our New Year’s Eve Bash, we are reminded once again of the powerful unity and purpose that drives Heartland Baptist Fellowship (HBF). This event was not just a celebration of another year; it was a resounding testament to the intentional gospel outreach (IGO) efforts of our church family—a night where the light of Christ shone brightly in our community.

A Unified Team Effort

From the very beginning, our IGO Team worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. It was nothing short of inspiring to witness the entire church come together, each member playing their part in the fellowship of the gospel. Whether it was greeting guests, serving refreshments, coordinating activities, or simply sharing the love of Christ in conversation, every effort made a difference. Together, we embodied the spirit of Philippians 1:27, striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.

Outstanding Leadership and Service

A special shoutout goes to Hollie Barnes, whose exceptional administration and deployment of volunteers transformed what could have been a chaotic evening into a seamless operation. Every activity, every station, and every moment of the evening ran like clockwork, down to the very seconds. Hollie’s dedication and precision remind us of the importance of using our God-given gifts for His glory. Her leadership truly exemplifies the heart of a servant-soldier for Christ.

We also want to highlight the perseverance of Brady Barnes, who, despite battling the challenges of a tough virus, continued to push through and rally the troops. His commitment and hard work showed us that we are stronger together even in times of personal struggle. Through his efforts, we saw how God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Uplifting Music and Testimonies

The evening was made even more special by the incredible singing and testimonies of Vicki Slyster and Sherry Walker. Their heartfelt worship was both uplifting and encouraging, reminding us all of the joy and hope found in Christ. Their contributions set the tone for the night’s theme: **"A New Heart for A New Year."

Several attendees made prayers and professions of faith, receiving new hearts for a whole new life in Christ. One young lady, heartbroken from a recent long-term relationship ending, encountered the Lord in a life-changing way. He healed her broken heart, and she left the event rejoicing, holding her new IGO Study Bible and eager to grow in her relationship with Christ. Stories like hers remind us why we labor in love—to see lives transformed by the gospel.

A Vision for the Future

This event was more than a celebration—it was a clear picture of HBF’s vision for intentional gospel outreach. As we step into this new year, let’s carry forward the momentum and energy we saw at the New Year’s Eve Bash. Our mission is clear: to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, starting right here in our community. Each event, each conversation, and each act of service is a step toward fulfilling the Great Commission.

Gratitude and Excitement

We want to express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who invested time, energy, and resources into this event over the past six weeks. Your dedication made the night a fruitful success—one we can all praise the Lord for! Let’s continue to build on this foundation, supporting one another as we share the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

As we look forward to 2025 and beyond, we eagerly anticipate what the Lord is willing to do to bear even more fruit through HBF’s outreach events and activities. Together, we are the body of Christ, united in purpose and overflowing with His love.

Happy New Year, HBF family! Let’s go forth with renewed vision and energy for His glory!

In Christ’s Grip and Grace,
