This Sunday will be the opening weekend of the 2015 NFL Football regular season. That is pretty cool if you are into football but HBF will be engaging in celebrating an even greater victory than any that can be won on the grid iron (and we love us some football in Cass County). This Sunday we will be having two baptism services with at least six souls  obeying the first act of obedience as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Why two baptism services? Is it because we have two services on Sunday mornings? No, that would be a great guess but you would be wrong. The reason we are having two services is because we offer outdoor baptism to those who prefer it (during the summer months) and we have two candidates who desire to be baptized outdoors.

This Sunday we will have our standard baptism service with at least four taking the plunge during our second worship service at 10:30am. That evening we will all gather to celebrate at least two more baptism across the street from the church property in our gracious neighbors pond which is the perfect location for an outdoor baptism. The Sunday evening will start at 6:00pm as we do each Sunday night

One might ask why we don't baptize in our own pond? The primary reason is the sides of the pond are very steep and the pond drops off in depth very rapidly. The pond across the street has a gradual entry is located in a beautiful setting and is much more suited for baptisms.
