For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10
Today a team from Community Fellowship Baptist Church from Huntsville, Alabama made a long journey home after investing a very long weekend at Heartland Baptist Fellowship here in Harrisonville, Missouri. Pastor Jay Shug, led a team to Harrisonville to assemble over 2600 Chichewa New Testaments for Missionary Dan Jalowiec in Chipata, Zambia and Missionary Brian Kaoma in Malawi, Africa.
The team arrived on Thursday evening and were up bright and early for breakfast, devotion and training on Friday morning. After breakfast and some training, the team went to work for two days colating, binding and cutting over 2600 Chichewa New Testament complete with disciplehip inserted in the binding by 3:30PM on Saturday afternoon. The team from Huntsville, along with the Word First Bible Publishing team worked diligently to get the bible's prepared for shipping.
It wasn't all work, while the team was here, we had the opportunity to share several meals with them and show them the World War I Museum in Kansas City, Mo. Pastor Randy Foster and Pastor Bob Hall did a great job organizing and leading the composite team from both churches. The icing on the cake was a wonderful sermon Pastor Jay preached on Ezekiel's call from Priest to Prophet. Pastor Jay offered a word that was fitly spoken which stirred in the heart of all who recieved his message. Pastor Jay's sermon was the perfect complement to the beautiful baptims that proceeded his timely message.
The work of the Spirit is not over, it is just beginning. The journey for these New Testaments has just begun as they will soon be shipped to Zambia where they will find their destination in the hands and hearts of peoples who native and heart language is Chichewa. Pray for Missionaries Dan Jalowiec and Brian Kaoma as they will steward these bibles to the souls who will ultimately recieve them.
