2 Peter 1:12-13 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; The Apostle Peter was careful to point out the need of believers to revisit truth that they have already been taught. Peter implies that he would be negligent if he didn’t review the things that God had showed them. He also says that it is through remembrance that we are stirred up. God has given us seven core points to help us keep our focus on “the main thing”. Another word for being authentic is being “real”. The seven realities of HBF are simple reminders that serve to keep our relationship with God and those he died to save authentic. These principles constitute the essence of what HBF is all about.
