Resolving Our Stand

Paul continues the answer he began in chapter 8 regarding liberty versus license. He begins with a history lesson of the privileges given to Israel as they were rescued from the bondage and slavery of Egypt but unfortunately chose to throw them away. The parallel to the church today is that too loose a liberty will result in a loss of God’s blessing and a forsaking of reward or as Paul referred at the end of chapter 9 a crown to the one who ran to attain.
