This Sermon Series will give clarity and focus to who God is calling our church to be in 2022 and so he can use us for his honor and glory before his coming to catch us away. Our theme verse for 2022 is Isaiah 26:3.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is staed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3
The prophet Isaiah was place in the very difficult position of delivering the bad news of God's judgment to a rebellious nation that was on a very steep decline. In the midst of the warning and wars, God provided hope through his word with incredible promises and prophecies of God's goodness and grace. Isaiah 26:3 is one of those promises. It is in Isaiah that we find several promises of Jesus Christ, the messiah. Christ is our hope and peace in every situation.
We live in a time of decline as well yet our hope is sure in the word of God. One of the things that will let us apart in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation and allow us to shine as lights in the world is the tangible and visible peace that passeth understanding obtained through our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Perfect peace is only attainable through the Perfect man, Chist Jesus. As we enter our seventh and final year of planning we have seen peace and we have seen war, through it all, Jesus has sustained us and given us peace that passes understanding. He has given us this peace so that we might share it with others who are in any trouble.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
