Helping them to prepare for baptism is the responsibility of the baptistry workers. While it seems simple enough, new believers sometimes are apprehensive about the process. As a servant in the baptistry ministry, you are there to calm their nerves, answer questions, and give them a towel! This is a great service and also gives you a chance to meet many new people as they publically proclaim their new life in Christ. Baptisms are usually done once a month.
