Steve trusted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on March 13th, 1992 when a co-worker led him through the Roman Road at his home in Peculiar MO. Although he had been a religious person for God, he didn’t have a relationship with God until that blessed night. From that point, his discipleship path and ministry involvement eventually led him to attend the 4-year Shepherd’s School of Ministry, which he graduated from in 2000.
Steve and Angie were married in 1982 and have two grown and married children (Luke & Sarah), two wonderful children-in-law (Brenda and Kyle), and four grandchildren. They placed membership at HBF in 2005 and he led their jail ministry, Prisoners Of Hope (POH), for several years before founding Life Issues – Addiction Recovery Program on February 4th, 2011, that he continues to pastor. Steve also pastors HBF’s adult Bible Hour, Foundations, every Sunday morning at 9am in the library, where the goal is for Christians to become “established” – Romans 1:11
