Editor’s Note: HBF has supported and approved missionaries serving around the world. Below is a list of updates on some of HBF’s missionaries.

Supported Missionaries

  • Gene & Sue Purtle: Recently had their annual training required by the state of Missouri. The month of March was their 16-year anniversary since they officially began this ministry. Gene however, began his ministry walk with the incarcerated 24 years ago with a small jail ministry through Kansas City Baptist Temple (now Graceway). Thank you for answering God’s call Gene and Sue.
  • Jim and Kathy Mehl: Their company is doing well, and they are planning a trip back to the U.S. in June. They will have lots of stories to tell about their business, and especially about their sightseeing tours. They have business where they test the hearing for anyone who needs this and provides hearing aids as they are needed.
  • Pradeep Limma: Pastor Pradeep has been preaching their Annual Baptist Convention in Kandhamal District. There were over 10,000 people in attendance, and over 2,000 have come to know Jesus. God is good. He and his daughter Elizabeth sang together one time.
  • Doug and Bethany Pearson: Palm Sunday they had a dinner for the Hope Children and it was amazing. The children really enjoyed it. Doug & Bethany had been in India for a month with Ganesh (Mumbai), Pradeep and Lauren Stovall in Rayagada, Odisha. They had a several conferences for the men and women. Lauren was really busy, but loving every minute of it. She and her disciples are preparing for the first VBS, they are really excited about it.

Approved Missionaries

  • Joe Amy Hendrigsman: The had been experiencing aftershocks of an earthquake that was 5 hours away from them. He said that it was “nerve racking”. They have also been delivering Bibles and other evangelism materials, & support to the national pastors, plus his own church. He sounds pretty busy doing God’s work too.
  • Doug and Camilia Howey: March 23, they were celebrating spring, while they were snow skiing glad that wasn’t here.

Please contact Randy Foster or Diana Fugate for information about the missionaries. Thank you.
